18-year-old's body found after drowning in Lake Conroe

LAKE CONROE, Texas – Authorities are investigating after an 18-year-old drowned in Lake Conroe near the county park and the beach area, off State Highway 105.

Friends noticed he had been missing for about an hour until 911 was called Saturday evening.

They were unsure where the man was. He may have been outside the water. Authorities said he drowned in about 7 to 8 feet of water.

Sonar was used to find the body.
