Uber offering free rides to LGBT landmarks in Houston
Company aims to bring people together
HOUSTON – Following the deadly shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Uber is offering free rides to and from lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender landmarks in Houston for up to $20.
The ride sharing company is offering the rides from 12 p.m. on Friday, June 17 through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 20.
Uber says people can get picked up or dropped off at any of the following locations:
- Montrose Center
- Legacy Community Health
- South Beach
- Pearl Lounge
A discount of up to $20 will be automatically applied. The offer is limited to $20 per ride.
