HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A Harris County jury has awarded the family of a teenager traumatically injured at a Houston trampoline park $11.5 million.
Max Menchaca suffered seizures and a traumatic brain injury after falling through a torn trampoline canvas at Cosmic Jump in 2013. He is still having issues walking and completing basic life skills, like remembering things.
The teenager's attorney said the ruling is intended to send a message to the parks to keep safety as their No. 1 priority.
