Spring ISD to offer free breakfast, lunch to all students for 2026-27 school year

District says free meals will be available on every campus each school day, and families won’t need to fill out meal applications

Spring ISD will offer free school breakfast, lunches this school year

SPRING, Texas – Spring Independent School District announced that all students will be offered breakfast and lunch at no cost every school day during the 2026-2027 school year.

The district said it will continue operating the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program, allowing meals to be provided to every student without charge. Spring ISD noted the 2026-27 school year is the final year of the district’s current CEP cycle.

Because of the program, Spring ISD said it will eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price and paid meals. However, the district still gathers household income information through its online annual student update process.

Families who have not completed the annual update are encouraged to do so as soon as possible at www.springisd.org/returning-students.
