Heavy Police Presence After Road Rage Shooting Near Freeway

CYPRESS – A heavy law enforcement presence has been reported near Cypress Mill Place Boulevard and the Northwest Freeway as deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office investigate a road rage shooting.

Deputies said the incident happened in the 27000 block of the Northwest Freeway. During the investigation, deputies determined an adult male suspect fired multiple rounds at another vehicle, striking it several times, officials said.

No injuries were reported, and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident, according to the constable’s office.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and expect delays while deputies process the scene and detectives work to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
