What are the top spots for crime across Houston area?

HOUSTON – Thousands of burglaries, robberies, assaults and thefts are investigated by law enforcement across the Houston area every year.

To see where they are happening the most, Channel 2 Investigates analyzed a year's worth of data for the Houston Police Department, the Harris County Sheriff's Office and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office provided their own estimates for where certain crimes occur most frequently.

Burglary

• Houston: Southeast Houston just north of Hobby Airport
• Harris County: Northwest Harris County West of Interstate 45; south of Cypress Creek Parkway, north of Beltway 8
• Montgomery County: West of I-45 in Spring between Sawdust Road and Nursery Road
• Fort Bend County: South of Beltway 8, Northwest of Interstate 59 and east of FM 1464

Robbery

• Houston: Area near Bissonnet Street and Beltway 8 to the northwest of Interstate 69
• Harris County: East Harris County: South of Interstate 90, west of Beltway 8 and north of Interstate 10
• Montgomery County: West of I-45 in Spring between Sawdust Road and Nursery Road
• Fort Bend County: South of Beltway 8, northwest of I-59 and east of FM 1464

Aggravated Robbery

• Houston: Chinatown near Beltway 8 and Westpark Tollway

Aggravated Assault
