Twin brothers arrested in narcotics investigation in Matagorda County

HOUSTON – Police arrested twin brothers as part of a narcotics investigation in Palacios, Texas, according to Bay City police.  

Tactical teams from the Bay City Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety made the arrests at two different residences early Thursday morning, said police.

Thirty-two-year-old Rick Ray Mata faces six felony charges of manufacturing/delivering a controlled substance, while his brother 32-year-old Eric Ray Mata faces one charge. 

Police said both men were taken to Matagorda County Jail.
