Antico Casa from Antico Pizza brings frozen Neapolitan-style pies to Houston (Aug. 20–23)

HOUSTON – Antico Pizza founder Gio Di Palma brings a slice of Atlanta to Houston this week when Antico Casa takes over the Costco Galleria Houston for a four-day roadshow, Aug. 20–23.

A taste of Antico

Antico Casa is the frozen line from Antico Pizza Napoletana, the three-time MICHELIN Bib Gourmand-winning pizzeria that helped put Atlanta on the pizza map. For the first Texas tasting, founder and pizzaiolo Gio Di Palma will be on-site at the Costco pop-up to meet shoppers, demo the pies and offer samples.

Two pizzas, one small window

Houston shoppers can try both Antico Casa varieties: the original Margherita — topped with San Marzano tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil and garlic — and the new San Gennaro, a restaurant favorite made with Italian sausage, sweet peppers, caramelized onions, fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce. The San Gennaro is being introduced here as a launch tasting and is available only in Houston for now.

National praise, local debut

Antico Casa earned national attention after its initial Costco launch. Southern Living praised its wood-fired-style crust for its char and chew; Eater Atlanta called it “no standard frozen pizza,” and USA TODAY 10Best labeled it “shockingly good.” The Houston roadshow is part of Antico Casa’s expansion beyond the Southeast as the brand grows its Costco presence into more than 40 Texas warehouses.

Get it while it’s hot

The Antico Casa pop-up runs only Aug. 20–23 at the Costco Galleria Houston location. This is a short, special chance for Houston pizza fans to meet Gio Di Palma and grab the frozen pies in person before they roll out more widely across Texas.
