Houston – Houston’s performing arts scene is putting the spotlight on some major deals.
Houston Theater Week Presented by Huntington Bank returns Aug. 24-30, giving audiences the chance to buy one ticket and get one free for hundreds of live performances across the city.
With nearly 400 performances to choose from and 21 participating organizations, the weeklong celebration offers an easy way to experience everything from theater and dance to music and more. The lineup includes some of Houston’s biggest arts organizations, including Alley Theatre, Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera, the Houston Symphony and Apollo Chamber Players.
According to organizers, Houston Theater Week is about making the performing arts more accessible while encouraging Houstonians to discover something new. The discounted tickets can also be a chance to revisit a favorite venue or plan a night out with family and friends.
The program has already made a significant impact on Houston’s arts community. Since 2022, more than 118,000 tickets have been sold through Houston Theater Week, generating nearly $5 million for local performing arts organizations.
Performing Arts Houston President and CEO and Houston Theater District chair Meg Booth says the program helps lower the financial barrier to experiencing the arts while highlighting the incredible talent and performances available right here in Houston.
With performances scheduled throughout the upcoming 2026-2027 season, the deals can be a great opportunity to plan ahead, whether it’s a date night, a family outing or a chance to finally check a show off your list.
