Houston – House hunting can be a headache. But what if the “perfect” home has to accommodate dozens of llamas… or come with a few ghosts? That’s just another day for Texas real estate agent Noel Collier, the star of HGTV’s new series “Extreme Buyers Club.”
Collier joined Houston Life to talk about the show ahead of its July 21 premiere, and the stories are as wild as the title suggests. In the series, she helps clients with one-of-a-kind lifestyles find listings that actually fit their extreme wish lists like high ceilings for acrobatics, underground bunkers for doomsday planners, and even homes that can support a “professional mermaid” lifestyle.
But behind the fun, Collier shared that she became a single mom at 16, lived on her own from that age, and came from a small town outside Houston with a population of around 4,000. She said her faith keeps her grounded and that years of working hard, often juggling multiple jobs, built the confidence and drive that viewers now see on screen.
Collier also explained that she didn’t set out to become “the extreme request” agent. After graduating from Texas Southern University with a marketing background and spending years building her real estate career, she says the opportunity came down to positioning herself and staying ready when the moment arrived. Now, after more than a decade in the business, she’s turned those unusual buyer requests into a show that mixes big personalities, big emotions, and plenty of surprises with a few tears along the way.
And yes, the llama request is real. Collier teased that one buyer wanted llamas inside the house—specifically, in a bedroom—and she hinted that the first episode includes even more unusual animals. Her message was simple: there really is a home for everyone, no matter how “out there” the dream may sound.
HGTV’s “Extreme Buyers Club” premieres Tuesday, July 21 at 8 p.m. CDT.
