Meet the cast of ‘Young Washington’ ahead of the film’s July 3rd release

HOUSTON – Just in time for Independence Day, a new historical drama is taking audiences back to the remarkable story of the man who would become America’s first president.

Young Washington’ hits theaters this Friday, July 3, exploring the untold early years of George Washington, long before he became a Founding Father. Rather than focusing on the presidency Americans know from history books, the film follows a young Washington as he navigates war, impossible decisions, and the experiences that helped shape one of the nation’s most influential leaders.

Set during the French and Indian War, the story follows Washington as a young soldier thrust into a dangerous global conflict where his courage, leadership, and character are tested. Along the way, he must overcome setbacks, earn the trust of those around him, and discover the qualities that would eventually define his legacy.

The film features an impressive ensemble cast, directed by Jon Erwin, and starring William Franklyn-Miller as George Washington, alongside Ben Kingsley, Andy Serkis, Mary-Louise Parker, Joel Smallbone, and Kelsey Grammer.

Young Washington opens exclusively in theaters on Friday, July 3.
