Licasa Treatment Center Opens in Conroe to expand compassionate mental health and addiction care

HOUSTON – May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and Licasa Treatment Center is marking it by opening doors to Conroe residents who need structured, compassionate care. The new center, which opened April 13, offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) designed to increase access to evidence‑informed treatment for adults facing mental‑health and substance-use challenges.

Real stories, real recovery — staff with lived experience

Licasa’s team brings both clinical skill and lived experience. Crystal Hunt, LCDC and case manager, knows firsthand what recovery looks like: raised in foster care, she survived addiction, legal setbacks and personal upheaval before choosing a different path for her children. Crystal went back to school, became a counselor and now helps women break generational cycles while emphasizing the importance of self‑care.

Leadership with purpose — focused care for veterans and first responders

CEO Lilit Muradyan brings a personal and mission‑driven approach. Having navigated profound grief after losing her husband in 2016, Muradyan emphasizes dignity, safety and outcomes over profit. Licasa’s Conroe location deliberately highlights support for first responders and veterans, populations at higher risk for PTSD, depression and substance use. The goal is practical recovery: individualized plans, group and individual therapy, psychoeducation and coordination with each patient’s existing providers and family.

What to expect day to day

Licasa’s “structured but compassionate” model combines routine and evidence‑informed therapies with warmth and respect. PHP provides more intensive daytime supports; IOP allows people to maintain work and family responsibilities while getting clinically grounded care. The team prioritizes continuity-working with a patient’s therapist or doctor to ensure seamless transitions.
