HOUSTON – Saddle up! The Galveston County Fair and Rodeo is back, and bringing the fun in a big way!
Just off Highway 6 in Hitchcock, this fan-favorite event is running April 17th through 25th, and it’s packed with everything you love about a classic county fair—with a rodeo twist.
Your ticket gets you access to rodeo action, live concerts, a petting zoo, plus all the carnival rides, food, shopping and more. Whether you’re craving fried fair favorites, hunting for unique finds, or just there for the thrills, there’s something around every corner.
The fair also continues to make a huge impact through its scholarship program, awarding more than $162,000 last year alone to help students pursue higher education. It also shines a spotlight on nearly 700 youth exhibitors showcasing everything from livestock and agriculture mechanics to student art and creative projects. It’s all about celebrating the next generation of Texas talent.
And finally, the entertainment lineup features full slate of live music. Expect standout performances from artists like Wynn Williams, Casey Donahew, Kevin Fowler, and Cody Canada with The Departed closing things out. Fiesta Sunday brings an extra dose of energy with a vibrant lineup of Tejano favorites, making it a can’t-miss celebration.
