Houston, Texas – The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo took time to honor local heroes during its annual First Responders Day.
The special event recognizes firefighters, police officers, and emergency personnel from across the Houston area who dedicate their lives to protecting the community.
Since 2016, BP America has sponsored First Responders Night at RodeoHouston. The company says the event is a meaningful opportunity to pay tribute to Houston’s fallen first responders and recognize those who continue to serve on the front lines.
BP leaders, including Senior Vice President Andy Krieger of Gulf of America and Canada, attended the event to help recognize this year’s First Responders of the Year and show support for the families of fallen heroes.
Organizers say the night is a reminder of the courage and sacrifice first responders make every day to keep Houston safe.
