Kicking off our 11th annual KPRC 2 Houston Habitat for Humanity home build

HOUSTON – Our 11th annual KPRC 2 Houston Habitat for Humanity home build kicked off in northeast Houston at Robin’s Landing – Habitat’s newest development.

Habitat teams, volunteers, and our friends at UTHealth Houston were swinging hammers and building walls to get things going, making it a busy and exciting first day!

It’s always a special day as everyone rolls up their sleeves to build the first set of walls that will go into the new home.

Remember, Habitat homes are earned -- they are not a gift, or a handout.

The families have to put in a lot of hard work and meet strict requirements to be approved, and once they move in, they pay a mortgage.
