Sweat in the City with Carrie Bradshaw, the Bionic Runner Babe

Houston – Carrie Bradshaw is ready to party on Sunday. Her version of a party just happens to be running the Chevron Houston Half Marathon.

“When I came back from my hip replacements, I had to start with a walker and then eventually walking on my own. Walking is the way to start, walk-run, build up to it,” she said.

Carrie has always used running for her mental health.

“Running makes me feel strong, it makes me feel confident, and I like being a great role model for my children and I feel like the best version of myself,” she said.

Support groups, families, and fans will be out in full force cheering on the runners!

“Houston Marathon is personally what I think is the best weekend of the year,”

This weekend is especially important to Carrie.

“It’s my big comeback race,”she said.

Carrie has definitely put in the work, so this weekend equals the payoff.

“The training, that’s the grind that’s the hard part, that’s where you have your growth, but the race day, I tell runners enjoy it, that is the celebration, that is the party, enjoy every mile and soak it up, and then you can go party afterward too,” she said.
