HOUSTON – In honor of World Autism Awareness Month, KPRC 2 meteorologist - Britta Merwin sat down with Derrick and Courtney to share her family’s personal experience with autism spectrum disorder.
"It's hard to open up about something that is so personal to you," said Merwin. "If I want this world to be an accepting place, that takes the time to soak him in and understand what autism is, the only way I can do that is by educating people about what it is to be on the spectrum."
