Houston Memorial Day Weather: Spotty storms, heat and poor air quality

Flood threat ends for Houston but scattered storms are still possible

Monday rain and storms are still in the forecast; the big difference is the coverage. Southeast Texas no longer has to worry about widespread rain on Memorial Day, but there will be areas of scattered showers and storms.

Since we miss out on city-wide downpours, temperatures will rise into the upper 80s. The heat is also paired with poor air quality, as ozone builds. If you have any respiratory illness, avoid prolonged periods outdoors.
