Severe thunderstorm watch issued for SE Texas counties

HOUSTON – Forecasters warned on Wednesday of dangerous thunderstorms for parts of southeast Texas.

A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris and Liberty counties until 1 a.m.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for most of southeast Texas until midnight.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, Austin, Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Colorado, Polk, San Jacinto, Walker, Waller and Washington counties until midnight.

Showers and thunderstorms are developing and will continue to move through during the evening hours until a front clears the coast.

Heavy downpours, hail, lightning, strong winds are all possible.
