CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. โ Several anti-vaccine social media posts are circulating around the internet claiming the new COVID-19 vaccine made a Tennessee critical care nurse faint shortly after getting the shot. She was surrounded by CHI Memorial medical personnel who assisted in administering the shot. A press conference from WRCB showed Dover receiving the vaccine when she suddenly dropped down to the floor. Some of the posts also claimed that the vaccine is unsafe for humans after the video began circulating of Dover fainting began circulating on Facebook. While the nurse did pass out after receiving the vaccine, she said fainting wasnโt because of the shot.

Houston nurse struck and killed while jogging remembered for infectious personality
HOUSTON โ A Houston nurse struck and killed Friday by a vehicle near Hermann Park is being remembered for his infectious personality. Houston Police said the Lapid was struck around 6:15 a.m. by a Cadillac Sedan in the 5900 block of Fannin Street. His older sister, Dianne, said Lapid left his job as a nurse in Dallas to be closer to family. He had only been working in the ICU at Houston Methodist Hospital for about two months before tragedy struck. โHe was a phenomenal nurse, a wonderful person and everyone that knew him would see that.โDiskin trained Lapid when he started at Houston Methodist.

Combating COVID-19: Nurses inside the coronavirus ICU tell all
HOUSTON โ Like many local hospitals, Houston Methodist Hospital opened a special unit to treat critically ill coronavirus patients. Theyโre calling it the โCoronavirus ICU,โ and right now there is a revolving door of 88 patients total in the Houston Methodist system, 24 patients at the Texas Medical Center campus. Nurses working inside the unit said when they manage to discharge one, the next patient comes in. The Texas Nurses Association supports what Carnahan and Catalan said, the number of patients has remained relatively low considering the size of Houston. Houston Methodist Hospital says their ICUs across all eight campuses are at 70% capacity.
