Family: Crying toddler found in Rosharon home with dead mother, HFD captain
The deputies heard a child crying inside the house and out of concern for the child, forced their way into the house. Family members told KPRC 2 that the woman was 25-year-old Briana Warren and the man was Joe Robinson, who was a captain with the Houston Fire Department. They said that Warren and Robinson had a 1-year-old child together, Jalen, who was found in the home Friday. The Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association issued a statement Friday evening:โHouston firefighters are stunned by the deaths of Joe Robinson and Briana Warren. Please keep the Robinson and Warren families and everyone affected by their tragic deaths in your thoughts and prayers.โ
Man fatally shot during family dispute near Rosharon identified
HOUSTON โ Family members identified the man shot to death during a family dispute Monday near Rosharon as 38-year-old Maurice Hood. The shooting was reported around 3 p.m. on County Road 368 and FM 1462. Deputies said there was an ongoing family dispute over the past several days, leading up to Mondayโs fatal shooting. โA dispute happened and my brother tried to run, tried to escape from that dispute,โ Hoodโs younger brother, Chris Bradford, said. โMy brother, he was one of a kind, man.โBradford said Hood was visiting his cousins in Rosharon at the time of the shooting.
Rosharon will soon have a new crystal-clear lagoon
HOUSTON โ Houstonians will have a new crystal-clear lagoon to enjoy in 2021. The four-acre crystal-clear lagoon will be built in the Sierra Vista community along the Highway 288 corridor. It will span 29 acres of amenities, including a celebration lawn, a restaurant, and a splash pad for kids. This will be the third lagoon built by community builder Land Tejas. Another lagoon is set to open in later this year in the Lago Mar community in Texas City.
