A man's body was discovered in Cedar Bayou on Saturday morning, leading Baytown Police, Fire, and EMS crews to respond to the 4800 block of Spring Lane. Though no foul play is suspected, the investigation remains active, with the body sent to the medical examiner for further examination. Authorities are awaiting the findings and encourage anyone with information to contact the Baytown Police Department.

Crews are responding Wednesday afternoon to a major gas leak in Baytown, officials said.

BAYTOWN, Texas – The Coast Guard, Baytown Fire Department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office and Houston Police Department have suspended the search for a boat carrying seven people in Cedar Bayou, just west of the U.S. Highway 146 bridge near Baytown. Watchstanders issued a search with an Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew and a Station Houston 29-foot response boat crew to search the area.
