Incoming University of Texas freshman Lydia Jacoby has earned one of the latest gold medals for Team USA. The 17-year-old took first place in a nail-biting womenโs 100-meter breaststroke. It was another thrilling day in Tokyo as Team USA racks up more medals. The team is pressing to make it to the podium in every sport and in gymnastics Springโs Simone Biles and the team is looking to re-establish dominance.
Cat Osterman named 1st Athletes Unlimited softball champion

New league attracts softball's best, gives power to players

Athletes Unlimited gives players a big say in decisions the league makes, whether it's the uniform colors or TV deals. Theyre amazing athletes," said Jon Patricof, co-founder and CEO of Athletes Unlimited. A lot of what were trying to do is bring in onscreen graphics, miking up of players, Patricof said. Pro Houston softball team suffers fallout after GMs anthem tweet
(AP) One of America's top pro women's softball teams is in an uproar after a tweet by their general manager regarding the national anthem. All 18 Scrap Yard players, including some members of the US national team, have walked out and say they wont play for the team. The USSSA Pride, another independent team, said its games will be postponed until further notice in support of the Dawgs players. Attempts to reach Scrap Yard and May this week were unsuccessful. She said the Pride players were also angry that their choice to stand was politicized.
