Incoming University of Texas freshman Lydia Jacoby has earned one of the latest gold medals for Team USA. The 17-year-old took first place in a nail-biting women’s 100-meter breaststroke. It was another thrilling day in Tokyo as Team USA racks up more medals. The team is pressing to make it to the podium in every sport and in gymnastics Spring’s Simone Biles and the team is looking to re-establish dominance.

Pro Houston softball team suffers fallout after GMs anthem tweet
(AP) One of America's top pro women's softball teams is in an uproar after a tweet by their general manager regarding the national anthem. All 18 Scrap Yard players, including some members of the US national team, have walked out and say they wont play for the team. The USSSA Pride, another independent team, said its games will be postponed until further notice in support of the Dawgs players. Attempts to reach Scrap Yard and May this week were unsuccessful. She said the Pride players were also angry that their choice to stand was politicized.
