A shooting occurred in west Houston on Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. near Briar Forest Drive and Brentworth Drive, following a dispute between two groups at an apartment complex.

A wrong-way crash on State Highway 6 in west Houston resulted in two fatalities and two injuries.

An investigation was underway into a crash that left one person dead and two others injured Monday in southwest Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

HOUSTON – A man shot and killed his elderly mother Tuesday at a home in west Houston, according to police. The homicide was reported about 2:20 p.m. at a home on Briar Forest Drive near Beltway 8. Russell Miller, 69, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member with serious bodily injury in connection with the death of his mother, 93-year-old Dorothy Bassett.
