Houston Police responded to a shooting near Center and Studemont Streets in Houston, where one person was injured and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A man was arrested following a shootout with deputies during an attempted burglary in north Harris County. The suspect, after exchanging gunfire with deputies, fled to a residence where he barricaded himself with two adults and several children. The adults exited safely, and deputies secured the children and detained the suspect, who had gunshot wounds, and took him to a hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
