Astros, Red Sox announce starters for first 2 ALCS games

HOUSTON – Astros manager A.J. Hinch announced the Astros starters for the first two games of the American League Championship Series, which will begin in Boston on Saturday.

It comes as no surprise to anyone that Justin Verlander will get the ball in Game 1 and Gerrit Cole will start Game 2.

Rookie Red Sox manager Alex Cora announced his first two starters as well.

Chris Sale will start Game 1 and David Price will start Game 2.

The Red Sox are set for a postseason rematch with the World Series champion Astros.

Boston eliminated the Yankees with a dramatic 4-3 victory Tuesday night in Game 4 of their AL Division Series, and now Hinch and his club will wait until Saturday night to open the AL Championship Series against Boston at Fenway Park.
