HOUSTON – The Texans’ promised reboot of their offensive line continued Tuesday as they reached a two-year deal with former Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl offensive guard Wyatt Teller, per a league source.

The contract has a maximum value of $23 million with a base value of $16 million for the two-time All-Pro selection, per a league source.

Teller is known for his toughness, strength, power, technique and consistency. He should bolster the interior offensive line with his nasty style of play.

Teller is represented by veteran agent Andy Ross of Upper Edge Sports.

Teller, 31, started 13 games for the Browns last season at right offensive guard, but is capable of and willing to play left guard, per a league source.

Under that scenario in an overhauled offensive line, the Texans’ projected lineup would be left tackle Aireontae Ersery, Teller at left guard, Jake Andrews or Evan Brown at center, Ed Ingram at right guard, Braden Smith at right tackle and former Pro Bowl selection Trent Brown as the swing tackle.

Teller, a former Buffalo Bills fifth-round draft pick, dealt with a calf injury at the end of last season and was placed on injured reserve.

He allowed just three sacks last season. His run blocking has been stellar.

He had a 9.8 percent quarterback pressure rate last season, likely impacted by his leg injury.

He has started 101 of 109 career games since his rookie season. He played for Cleveland for the past seven years. Teller (6-foot-4, 315 pounds),

Teller should provide a boost to an offensive line that needed reinforcements and has been rebuilt again this offseason.

The Texans traded their top offensive lineman from last season, versatile former first-round draft pick Tytus Howard, to the Browns.

They signed Smith, a former Indianapolis Colts right tackle, to a two-year, $25 million deal.

They retained Ingram after a breakthrough season on a three-year, $37.5 million deal.

They re-signed Brown on a one-year, $7 million deal. The Texans won every game he started last season.

And they signed Brown, a former Arizona Cardinals offensive guard-center, to a one-year, $3.5 million deal to compete in the interior.

The Texans have Ersery back after a solid rookie season.

And they traded for former Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery as their new featured back and hope to have a powerful running game.
