All students in Spring ISD will receive free breakfast and lunch at school during the 2026-27 school year, the district announced.
The district participates in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) through the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. This is the final year of Spring ISD’s current CEP cycle.

Because of the program, all students will be offered breakfast and lunch at no cost every school day. The district will not collect meal applications to determine whether students qualify for free, reduced-price or paid meals.
However, Spring ISD will continue collecting household income information through its annual online student update process. Families who have not yet completed the annual update are encouraged to do so as soon as possible through the district’s returning student portal.
Families who believe they qualify for free or reduced-price meals can complete an application through SchoolCafe.
While all Spring ISD students will receive free breakfast and lunch, families who qualify based on household income may also be eligible for additional benefits, including discounts on testing and college application fees.
SchoolCafe also allows parents to view school menus and add money to their student’s meal account for a la carte purchases.
