Galveston County homeowners whose properties were damaged during storms in 2024, including Hurricane Beryl, may be eligible for financial assistance through a Texas General Land Office recovery program.
The City of Galveston is sharing information about the program ahead of an outreach event where homeowners can learn more about available assistance and whether they may qualify.

The Texas General Land Office will host an outreach event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Moore Memorial Public Library in Texas City.
Homeowners who experienced property damage during eligible 2024 disasters can attend to learn whether they may qualify for:
- Assistance to rebuild their homes
- Reimbursement for certain eligible repairs
- Other disaster recovery assistance available through the program
The program is intended to help eligible homeowners recover from damage caused by 2024 disasters, including Hurricane Beryl.
Homeowners do not have to wait until the outreach event to learn more or apply.
