These are the 21 people accused of prostitution during October

HOUSTON – Nearly two dozen people were arrested on prostitution-related charges during the month of October, Houston police said.

HPD's Vice Division Wednesday released the names and mugshots of 21 suspects who police said were arrested for either compelling prostitution (pimps) or solicitation of prostitution (johns) for the month of October.

"We hope by publishing these suspects' photos we will raise awareness of the issue that is human trafficking and put the community on notice that we will no longer tolerate these crimes in our neighborhoods," HPD Vice Division Captain James Dale said.

Houston police said 54 people were arrested in August, and 68 arrested during June and July.
