Man sought in theft of high-end bicycle in Houston

Man stole bike during test ride, police say

HOUSTON – Police are searching for a man who they said stole a high-value bike from a sports supercenter in the 7500 block of Westheimer Road on July 4.

Police said the man pretended to be a customer interested in a high-end bicycle, but when the man was given an opportunity to test ride the bike, he left the parking lot without paying and never returned.

The man is described as black, approximately 23-35 years old and was wearing a light-colored baseball cap, dark-colored T-shirt and tan shorts.
