HOUSTON - Houston police announced the arrest of a man investigators believe is responsible for shooting three women and killing 33-year-old Crystal Turner.

The shooting took place Oct. 22, 2017, in the 4500 block of Newberry Street in Sunnyside.

Police said Gerald DeWayne Washington, who was an acquaintance of the women, got into a vehicle with all three women and shot them. He then left the scene.

Washington, 25, has been charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, investigators said.

He is being held at the Harris County Jail without bond.
