Harris County Precinct 3 deputies have arrested a suspect after a pregnant woman was stabbed during a visit at a home in Houston’s Greenwood neighborhood.

Deputies responded to an in-progress call with a life in danger at 12323 Dona Ln. this morning. Upon arrival, they observed a pregnant woman with injuries to her face and arms.

According to authorities, the victim had been invited to the home to visit with the suspect. During the visit, the suspect had a knife concealed. When the victim spotted the knife, the suspect reached for it — and a struggle for possession followed.

“The suspect then began striking the victim’s face with the knife,” according to the Precinct 3 media release.

The victim sustained stab wounds to her face, arms and hands. EMS has transported her with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is now in custody, facing a charge of aggravated assault. Records show the suspect was previously arrested in 2025 for assault on a pregnant person — a charge that was ultimately dismissed.

Authorities say the victim and suspect know each other through church and that no romantic or domestic relationship exists between the two.
