BELLAIRE, Texas – A late-night fire tore through an apartment complex in Bellaire on Saturday night, prompting a three-alarm response and drawing dozens of firefighters to the scene, according to the Bellaire Fire Department.
Crews were called around 9:30 p.m. to the Pont Alba apartments in the 4300 block of Bissonnet Street.

Bellaire firefighters were joined by mutual aid from the West University Place Fire Department, Southside Place Fire Department and the Houston Fire Department.
Officials said an estimated 16 apartment units were affected, though the number of residents impacted was not immediately clear. No civilian injuries were reported.
One firefighter was taken to a local hospital to be treated for heat exhaustion, the department said.
The American Red Cross was notified and a representative was dispatched to help residents. About 60 firefighters responded as crews worked to get the blaze under control.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
