Man fatally shot at N. Harris County apartment complex; deputies searching for suspect

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office says a man was fatally shot at an apartment complex off Ella Boulevard in north Harris County Friday evening.

It happened at the Montecello on Cranbrook Apartments located in the 13900 block of Ella Boulevard.

The constable’s office says deputies responded to the reported shooting and found a man near the playground suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving aid attempts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The suspect is believed to have fled the area and is described as a tall Hispanic male with a mustache and beard, last seen wearing a black tank top and black jeans,” the constable’s office said.

A perimeter has been set up as deputies look for the suspect.

People are asked to avoid the area and if you see anyone matching the suspect’s description, do not approach them.
