HOUSTON – Nearly three years after a man’s body was found in the trunk of a burning vehicle in southwest Houston, two suspects are in custody and charged in connection to his death.

The body of 41-year-old Adrean Arrington was found in the trunk of the vehicle in the 14500 block of Nelson Street on Dec. 9, 2023 after authorities responded to a reported vehicle fire at the location.
Houston police say two people, Morris Taylor Jr., 44, and Steven Ryan Henry, 55, are charged in connection to the incident.
Taylor is charged with aggravated kidnapping, arson, murder and tampering with evidence. Henry is charged with arson and tampering with evidence.
HPD says investigators were able to determine that Taylor fatally shot Arrington at a motel at 13900 S. Main Street and with Henry’s assistance, put him in the trunk of Arrington’s vehicle and drove it to Nelson Street. The two then allegedly poured gasoline on the vehicle and set it on fire.
Police say Taylor has been in federal custody since January 2024, when he was arrested for felon in possession of a weapon. On July 1, 2026, Taylor was charged for his alleged role in Arrington’s death.
Police say Henry was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Harris County Jail.
