HPD says several weapons were involved; suspect ran but was later taken into custody

HOUSTON – Houston police said a family disturbance between two adult brothers escalated into a violent confrontation Friday night in southeast Houston.

Officers with the Houston Police Department’s Southeast Patrol Division were called around 8 p.m. to the 2500 block of Craigmont Street, near Telephone Road.

Investigators said the argument turned into an altercation in which both brothers produced weapons and struggled over them.

During the struggle, one brother was shot outside on the street, police said. Detectives are still working to determine who had which weapon and when during the incident.

Police said the suspected shooter fled the scene on foot but was later apprehended.
