PHOTOS: Houston flooding stalls vehicles, causes manholes to overflow as more rain likely

Sky 2 Chopper captured aerial footage after heavy storms soaked Houston Monday

HOUSTON – Heavy thunderstorms that moved through Houston Monday left flooded streets, swollen bayous, and overflowing manholes.

Sky 2 Chopper flew over the city after the storms passed and captured images of the aftermath.

The chopper caught images of Little White Oak Bayou flowing over the bridge in the 1400 block of Wrightwood Street in the Heights.

Up I-45, the chopper captured video of flooding at W. Mt. Houston Road and the I-45 feeder road.

We saw several stalled out vehicles in the water. There was a man on an ATV that appeared to be trying to help out stranded motorists.

Further southwest, we captured video of overflowing manholes at Tidwell and T.C. Jester Blvd.

A Flood Watch continues through Thursday as more rain is likely.
