Moisture headed to southeast Texas:

I’m monitoring a low-pressure system moving through Mexico; it is expected to funnel deep, rich tropical moisture into the area. The low-pressure system currently has a 30% chance of developing into a tropical system, but regardless of development, it will still draw in tropical moisture into southeast Texas at least through the end of the week.

A low chance for tropical development, but a high chance for tropical moisture to reach southeast Texas

Monday through Wednesday, the tropical moisture will combine with a slow-moving cold front. That will help bring waves of rain through the middle of the week.

Slow moving front arrives early week

10-day forecast:

Rain and storm chances continue through the late week. By the weekend, southeast Texas dries out, but the heat and humidity will return swiftly.
