Man mowing attacked by bees (Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department)
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Texas – A man mowing a property near Brenham in Washington County was airlifted to a hospital Wednesday after he was attacked by a swarm of bees.

The incident happened on FM 50 near Westerfeld Road, which is north of Brenham.
The Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department says the man was mowing along his fence when he was attacked by the bees and stung multiple times.
A quick-thinking neighbor heard the man’s screams and called 911. A delivery driver also tried to help the man and was also stung.
The fire department said the man experienced an anaphylactic reaction after the attack and was airlifted to a hospital.
The man’s condition is unknown.
