Galveston County Sheriff Jimmy Fullen told KPRC 2’s Corley Peel that law enforcement agencies made 110 total arrests during the four-day event, all stemming from traffic stops conducted throughout the Bolivar Peninsula enforcement zone.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office also deployed a mobile command post to support authorities in Galveston. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez commended his team for their work to keep the event safe.
Over the past few days, our @HCSOTexas team deployed our Mobile Command Post and specialized personnel in support of Jeep Weekend — one of the many ways we back up our regional public safety partners across the area.

The increased law enforcement presence was visible throughout the weekend, with checkpoints, beach patrols and strict traffic enforcement aimed at preventing the violence and chaos that plagued previous years.
Authorities had warned ahead of the event that reckless driving, weapons violations and dangerous behavior would not be tolerated.
Last year’s Jeep Weekend followed a deadly 2024 shooting that intensified calls for stronger enforcement and tighter restrictions on the peninsula.
This year, officials implemented a three-mile event zone with a single entrance and exit, prohibited ATVs and golf carts on the beach, and enforced a long list of beach safety rules.
Even with the large crowds and high number of stops and arrests, officials said no injuries were reported during the operation.
