Grand jury no-bills Harris County Treasurer Carla Wyatt on burglary of a vehicle charge
Carla Wyatt (Harris County)
HOUSTON – A Harris County grand jury has declined to indict Harris County Treasurer Carla Wyatt on a burglary of a vehicle charge.
The grand jury returned a no-bill on Wednesday in Wyatt’s case.
Wyatt was arrested in December 2025 after being accused of breaking into a vehicle.
Court documents allege Wyatt broke into the vehicle with the intent to commit theft.
Documents alleged she was found sitting inside a vehicle outside a lounge and bar called Forget Me Not and refused to leave.
Following her arrest, her attorney Christopher Downey agreed Wyatt’s behavior was unusual but said she did not commit a crime.
The case against her has now been disposed.
