Houston police, SWAT respond to barricade near Washington Avenue Police confirm one person injured with non-life-threatening injuries

HOUSTON – Houston Police are responding to a barricade situation near Washington Avenue.
The Houston Police Department
HPD said one person was shot and transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Other people have exited the property, police said, but a suspect remains barricaded inside. SWAT has been called in to respond.
Avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
