2 trapped after 5-vehicle crash shuts down Tomball Parkway at Gessner

Deputies with Harris County Precinct 4 are responding to a major crash involving multiple vehicles along Tomball Parkway in northwest Harris County Wednesday morning.

According to Mark Herman, the crash happened at Tomball Parkway near North Gessner Road and involves up to five vehicles.

Herman said two people were trapped inside vehicles following the crash. Emergency crews are working to free those involved while clearing the scene.

Precinct 1 deputies and the Texas Department of Public Safety are assisting at the crash site.

All lanes are currently shut down in the area, and drivers should expect significant traffic delays.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and find alternate routes while crews continue to respond.
