Fuel spill cleanup underway after box truck flips on East Freeway, no reported injuries

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Harris County responders are working to clear the scene of a fuel spill near the East Freeway after a box truck flipped over on Thursday night.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened along the westbound feeder road, near the beltway interchange.

Harris County HazMat and Precinct 3 constable deputies are also on scene assisting with the cleanup.

Deputies say there are no reported injuries.

All lanes on the freeway are open. Only the westbound/inbound feeder past Sheldon Road and Market Street exit ramp is closed.
