Teen shot in neck on Aldine Mail Route in NE Harris County, deputies say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Authorities are investigating a shooting in northeast Harris County that left a teenager hospitalized in serious condition.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the call came in around 7:50 p.m. Thursday night, referencing a shooting in the 5200 block of Aldine Mail Route in the Food City parking lot, near the Eastex Freeway.

HCSO officials said the teen, believed to be a 16-years-old male, was taken to the hospital by a bystander. KPRC 2 News learned the teen was shot in the neck.

Detective Mullins said deputies recovered shell casings at the scene, and one vehicle was hit by gunfire but no one inside was injured.

No information on a suspect is available at this time.
