A driver crashed their car into a Texas State Optical store in an Atascocita shopping center Thursday, prompting a response from the Atascocita Fire Department.
The crash happened at the Kroger strip center near 7571 FM 1960 East. Fire crews arrived to find a vehicle that had driven into the storefront of the business.

According to the Atascocita Fire Department, the driver and six people who were inside the store at the time of the incident were evaluated by medics at the scene.
UPDATE: The one driver and the six people who were in the store at the time of the incident, have all been evaluated on scene with none receiving injuries that required transportation by ambulance.

In an update, officials confirmed that none of the seven individuals assessed, including the driver, sustained injuries requiring transportation by ambulance.
The cause of the crash has not yet been released, but officials described the driver involved as an “elder.”
Authorities have not indicated whether any citations were issued or if the incident remains under investigation.
Damage to the storefront was visible as emergency crews worked to secure the scene. It is unclear how long the business will remain closed for repairs.
