1 dead in crash with cement truck on Hempstead Road

HOUSTON – One person is dead after a crash on Hempstead Road Wednesday morning.

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the deadly crash in the 35200 block of Hempstead Road around 6:30 a.m.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalex posted about the crash on Facebook, saying it involved a vehicle and a cement truck. He also said one person was confirmed dead, but it’s not clear if the person who died was inside the vehicle or the cement truck.

The intersection of Hempstead Road and Hegar Road is currently shut down while deputies continue to clean up from the crash.

Drivers are encouraged to take an alternate route.
