LIST: Houston closures, delayed openings for Monday due to winter weather

HOUSTON – As winter weather continues to impact the Houston area, several businesses and public services have announced closures, delayed openings, and event cancellations.

Harris County Tax Office

All Harris County Tax Office locations will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, due to weather conditions.

Houston Zoo

After closely monitoring the forecasted weather conditions, Houston Zoo will be closed Monday, Jan. 26. Guests who have purchased tickets can reschedule for another day by emailing group.reservations@houstonzoo.org.

Space Center Houston

Due to cold-weather conditions, Space Center Houston will open at Noon on Monday, Jan. 26. For safety reasons, NASA Tram Tours will not operate, and some outdoor exhibits may remain closed.

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center

There will be a delayed opening at all MD Anderson campuses on Monday, Jan. 26, with in-person patient appointments starting at noon. Inpatient operations will remain open. Care teams are reaching out to affected patients.

Grocery stores

H-E-B

Normal store hours will resume on Monday, Jan. 26.

Kroger

Normal operating hours will resume tomorrow, Jan. 26, from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Walmart

Walmart shoppers should check their local store’s hours using the Walmart store locator, as hours may vary by location.
