Man in custody after car chase with deputies ends in multi-vehicle crash in northwest Harris County

Harris County deputies brought an evading pursuit to an end Friday morning after a suspect crashed into multiple vehicles in Spring.

Authorities with Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office said the pursuit ended near the intersection of Louetta Road and Kuykendahl Road, where the suspected vehicle was finally stopped.

The driver was then handcuffed and taken into custody.

Officials confirmed the suspect struck several vehicles during the incident.

Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene to evaluate multiple drivers involved in the crash. No information has been released about the extent of any injuries.

Precinct 4 confirmed that the suspect had an outstanding warrant but did not elaborate on the details of that charge.

The man is also believed to have thrown drugs out of his car window during the chase, which were recovered by authorities.

A heavy law enforcement presence remains at the scene, as deputies and first responders process and clean up the area.

Drivers in the area were told to expect traffic delays and encouraged to find alternative routes.
